Is it true that 90% of all shipping containers are used only once from east to west & never again?

- Who told you that lie. No way at the cost they use them until they are in a state of disrepair. Goodluck
- not true they are used until they no longer pass inspection then sold to be used as storage
- they have a calculated life span of ten years, but are surveyed prior to hiring for any damage and then repaired/repainted and then hired. A container is hired to transport goods from point to point, then dehired at a container park, where they are held prior to rehiring by another customer
- China builds more than they return as > Calf has made housing out of them blocks & blocks 4 high > China exports more than imports> So there is a surplus of containers & cheaper to make new 1s than ship empty 1s back>
- Not true. You might be refering to the fact that 90% carry cargo to the US and go back empty to be refilled again.
