UPS ground shipping from New York to California?

How long will it take to get my package from New York to California via UPS ground? I know it says typically 1-5 days, but does anybody know exactly? The package was shipped on Monday, September 22, 2008.

1. A good rule of thumb for UPS is one business day per time zone or partial thereof, plus one business day on each side. So you would be looking at 6 business days, or Monday the 29th (UPS does move ground packages around on Saturday so that counts as a transit day. Some time may be shaved off of that depending on how close the start and end locations are to the depot. Also, even tho it is ground, capacity permitting smaller packages are sometimes moved by air, that will speed the process as well. Put the tracking number in UPS.com, their estimates are almost always pretty good
2. I have always found using google or yahoo to answer these types of questions is much better than relying on false info like you see here. good luck.
