Business loans ??? Whats the best route ?

I am 42. I have a catering company and have been doing very well. We make good food and charge a reasonable price. We really want to start a small BBQ, hamburger etc etc joint. We have several locations in mind but we need financing. My credit is not so good due to my appendix bursting a few months ago and that got me behind a few months. Anybody got any ideas ?? Loans ?? Grants ?? I know this will be a successful venture, without a doubt !! I really only need like 15K.

1. 1. You need a solid business plan, there are a few good sites (and lots of crap!) that can show you how to put together a winning business plan. 2. You will need to apply to your local banks for the loan, I take it you have equipment and sales from the catering business that you could use for collateral. 3. If you are turned down by at least 3, but 6 would be better, banks for your loan, you can turn to the Small Business Association for assistance in getting a guaranteed business loan. http://www.sba.gov The SBA has tons of great info for small businesses and no scams (they are a government agency).
