How can I pinpoint the location of a wireless router/access point?

I've tried locating them within a fairly dense neighborhood using a directional antenna, however, it's very unreliable and difficult. I am not sure if there is any easy way to measure the signal strength from multiple points to triangulate the access point's location. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I simply need to be able to decipher which home the wireless signal is coming from within a city.

1. Sorry, no easy way. Directional antennas and signal strength meters are it. Variations in pointing accuracy insure that you can't triangulate from any distance.
