Location Transport

What would convince you to have your hair done in a new location?

I am an experienced stylist, but in a new location and I am trying to attract new people to me. What discounts, coupons, advertisements would make you consider trying out the salon where I work? The salon is an established place (JCPenney Salon). I have access to alot of different ways to advertise myself, but what I want to know is what would make ME seem a good choice to go when you need a new look, color, cut etc..... Thanks in advance your thoughts and answers.

  1. First off make sure your own hair is stylish and a good color. So often a hair stylist looks like they forgot to comb their own hair! Secondly, make sure your working area is attractive. If it can be seen as people pass by this is especially important. Everyone likes a discount, especially with other prices going up, this may attract some patrons. Word of mouth (and the look of the hair do) is very important. Think about a discount for your customers who refer someone to you. A little discount and a hair product would be a nice thank you. In the past if I saw a hair style on someone I liked Iwould ask them who their beautician was. Just from one girl in our office's haircut now four of us are going to the same salon. Good luck!!
