What is the diffrence between geography and location?
I know that when you look at a globe and their maps your are looking at the geography, but location tells you were it is. So is geography and location about the same thing? (Need good answers) Thanks!

- Geography is a pretty board term. It can mean geographical location or topography, among other things. Location is just that.
- Cities, place names, landforms and human movement are all part of the picture that Geography takes in as a whole. People or geographers focus in upon these locations as a means to distinguish them from one another and to describe their differences or similarities. "Geography is an all-encompassing discipline that foremost seeks to understand the Earth and all of its human and natural complexities-- not merely where objects are, but how they have changed and come to be." "Traditionally, geographers have been viewed the same way as cartographers and people who study place names and numbers. Although many geographers are trained in toponymy and cartology, this is not their main preoccupation. Geographers study the spatial and temporal distribution of phenomena, processes and feature as well as the interaction of humans and their environment. As space and place affect a variety of topics such as economics, health, climate, plants and animals, geography is highly interdisciplinary."
- Geography refers to the landforms,vegetation,climate,etc.. of an area and it is a much broader term compared to location which just refers to the area itself. For example, the geography of china is in the semi-dry and semi-wet East Asia where there is snow..compared to the location of china is in East Asia.
