Does anyone know anything about EMS shipping from Thailand to US?

I recently bought something off of eBay and paid through Paypal. The seller is in Thailand and shipped the item using EMS. He gave me a tracking number last night that started with "RD" and ended with "TH". When I entered the tracking number this morning, it kept saying enter a valid number. I tried it on the EMS Thailand Post website and the EMS China website but I noticed the tracking numbers on EMS website either begin with an "RA, EA, or LA" and end with "TH" could this be a scam or maybe the wrong information? Has anyone ever gotten a tracking number from EMS with other letters before?

1. i used to send parcel to canada from thailand and the tracking number start cpo and ended with th cpo24265577th

3. The digits are 9. eg. EE 123456789 TH, I think it takes some time to reflect on the system as some posting are done through agents, I just came back from a post shop and my tracking number cant be found on the system, it didnt say invalid number though.
