Lump on testicle?

I noticed it a year ago, but didnt think anything of it. I assumed it had always been there. Then lately, it became slightly uncomfortable. I did some research, and it is in the exact location of the appendix testis. Is it just this? or is it possibly a tumor? is the appendix testis supposed to be somewhat tender or uncomfortable? And I am going to the doc tomorrow, so if thats all you are going to tell me...dont!

1. i had this. my testicle hurt for a while, i wnet to the doctor because i had a like half pea size lump on it, and it turned out.... i masturbate WAY to much ( not a joke) he said i built up scar or sperm tissue or fluid inside my testicle and that it will be that wy until i cut back on the masturbation. if you do not or dont often think about these. it could be from scar tissue AKA getting kicked or hit in balls, it wouldnt be a tumor..... it is more likely testicle cancer. depending on size if it is as big as a pea it may be cancer, but i cannot measure it through the internet, so your doc will tell you exactly what is wrong. lets hope nothing bad. 3. If it has not grown in size in the last year it is more then likely just the appendix testis. If it was a tumor or cancer it would have grown over the last year and would normally have become very tender to the touch. The appendix testis can become tender to the touch if you are examining it too much. I know when I was younger before I became a firefighter/paramedic and I did not have any medical knowledge, I learned in school about testicular cancer and to examine your self. So in the shower in the mornings I would check and I found the appendix testis, well in school they did not mention that this existed. So I though this was cancer and being that I was younger I was afraid to tell anyone. Well, the first day I checked the area and I remember it became very tender to the touch very quickly. I ended up telling someone and going to the doctor and he explained to me what it was. Now that I am a firefighter/paramedic I have a lot more medical knowledge and know about the appendix testis. It can become tender to the touch quite easily and I would imagine by your description that is what you have going on. hopefullb--- I think you may have run into a religious Doctor that thought masturbation is a sin because I have never heard of what you stated in your answer. If I were you, I would try getting a second opinion. I will ask a couple of ER doctors and surgeons tomorrow, but I imagine that the story you were told was not true. I could be wrong, I just have never heard of it and can find no information anywhere on the internet about it.
