Appendectomy surgery?

I had my appendix taken out about 3 years ago and since then every time i stand up to fast i have a shooting pain in my right side in that location could this be because of a mistake during surgery?

  1. no it would be scar tissue, harmless
  2. I have had 4 abdominal surgeries and it sounds like scar tissue pain to me. Watch out for more serious symptoms though as it is possible that an organ got wrapped in scar tissue (this happened to me and the pain was so bad I was vomiting and passing out and started a temp). While scar tissue pain is harmless and difficult to diagnose, the pain is very, very real.
  3. I had it done about 6 months ago. It has never happened to me, but it could be the scar tissue that has tightened up. So when you get up fast it pulls on it. Do some side stretches to help stretch it out. And hopefully get rid of the pain when standing up fast. Hope that helps(: -Katie
