I am purchasing a car from out of state. I need to transport the car home. How do I get it home witout plate?

1. depends on the state,and if its a licensed dealer. lic dealer in ny -nj have temps. some states have transportation plates avail from mv of that state
2. Go to the DMV and request a Temporary Plate.
3. You should be able to get a temporary tag from the DMV. You will need to have a signed title as proof of ownership and proof of insurance on the vehicle. Some states are a bit more liberal and will allow you to use a valid tag from another vehicle. Again, you would need proof of ownership and insurance on the vehicle if you are stopped.
4. A title or bill of sale should do it if you're doing anything else to draw attention.
