can i still get a CDL to drive a semi truck if you are on medication to control blood pressure?
its not sky high , been around 140 over 85 , but i take medication I was wondering if the company like SWIFT transportation will give me a job? Have you had this experience or you know somebody else who did.

- As long as the meds are keeping it under control u are ok to drive. As far as Swift goes im not sure of their company policy regarding high blood pressure.
- if it is under control with meds.the most they will do is have you do a D.O.T check up every year
- So long as it "does not affect your ability to drive a CMV" and your doc is willing to sign the paperwork, you can still get your CDL. See: http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/rules-regulations/administration/fmcsr/fmcsrruletext.asp?rule_toc=760§ion=391.41§ion_toc=1781 391.41(b)(6) BTW, swift will hire anyone with a CDL and a heartbeat. Look for a better company
