Paris to Nice.. best transport option?
This summer I went to Nice, France primarily to learn French at this international school, but ended up making the greatest friends from all over Europe and partying every single night. This summer it unfeasible to go again to do the same thing, but me and one or two of the friends i made there are planning to meet in Paris this summer. I think we will go for about a week, but while we're there i think we want to travel down to Nice for a couple of days too. what's the best way to do this, plane, train, bus, coach? We can't hire a car, as we're 18. Tnx.

- I have no answer for you, but I just wanted to say, 'Happy Birthday' since you're now a year older than when we first met. Is there anyway you could smuggle me in your suitcase? :P Cheers and best of luck. xo
- The easiest and fastest will be by train. it is 5:30 hours by train, several trains direct, more trains if a little longer total travel time with one change. If you book early enough and are willing to travel on unpopular times the cost can be as low as €15 for a one way ticket, but € 50 is more realistic. If you can read enough French use this site: http://www.voyages-sncf.com/leisure/fr/launch/home/ The English language option takes you to a different site that seems to make a profit. You can also try to travel by plane or bus, but I do not have much luck finding buses in France, (the train system is so good): http://eurolines.com/ And flying is so much more bother (getting to and from the airport at a cost): http://www.skyscanner.net/ http://www.whichbudget.com/
- Train is really your only option. There is no inter-city bus system in France as they have such a good train system. The train will also gives an opportunity to relax and view the countryside, or get up and walk around maybe get a coffee and something to eat, something you can't do from a plane. Timewise, train is also more efficient as you don't need to trek out to airports an hour before departure, check luggage, pick luggage up other end, and find a way from the airport to destination. Train is city centre to city centre.
