Locating the physical location of a cell phone caller?

Is there a way to track a cell phone callers present location when you call them?

1. Sort of. Due to e911 regulations carriers have come up with a few way of locating subscribers. The most common method is tower triangulation. Some carriers offer a feature where you and your friends can opt into a location sharing service. Aside from that you would require a warrant to get the carrier to find someones location.
