How can I track where my cell phone is?

I am a single mother where the father is a dead beat and does not pay child support. I let the kids go and see there aunts and his family but i have reason to suspect that the dad is coming over and that the sisters might even be taking the kids over there. Is there a way that if my oldest child takes my cell phone (blackberry pearl) that I can track the location of it. Or do you know any where I can get a LOW cost tracking device. I just want to make sure there not lying to me!!! Thanks
