Have you ever worked for Swift Transportation?
How was your experience? How was the training? I'm only curious as I may join their company. If you haven't worked for swift maybe give me an idea of how you like trucking in general?

- Trucking is fine but I believe Swift is going to close up soon. I don't think they've made money in a long time and just lost the Kentucky Dollar General account. Get a job with a local LTL company and be a whole lot happier. You can't make any money living in a truck anymore.
- no, the name is cool though.
- Stay away from swift. There are actually websites posted by their drivers about not being paid correct milage, forced runs, holding of pay checks, etc. They were also involved in a class action law suit for their shady business practices. My brother in law worked for them and was fired for leaving his load in a dock approved by the shipper. There are better companies out there. You might have to do a year or so at some of these bigger companies before smaller and local companies will hire you. Above all, keep your DAC report clean, do your year (so the company will pay for your schooling) then find a better company. After a few years, $50k to $70k is not unheard of. GOOD LUCK
