How to transport a motorbike on a trailer?
We have recently purchased a motorcycle, and need to pick it up using a trailer. We have hired a trailer designed to transport motorcycles, but I was wondering how to secure the bike to the trailer, more specifically which are the best anchor points on the bike to use? The bike isn't currently running at the moment, hence the need for a trailer. It has been purchased as a project for us to work on

- You don't need a trailer at all ! For your consideration: http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r46/Motorbiker_photos/NewsPics2/motorcycle-towing.jpg
- Why not ride it?
- Use 2 tie downs, one on each side of the handlebars near where they bolt to the steering head. Put something that won't compress e.g. piece of wood between the front tyre and the top of the frame to protect the front fork seals , and pull down the straps tight. The trailer should have tie points. A third strap is a good idea to secure the rear tyre down.
