- Swift is by far one of the better carriers out there. And, one of the larger ones. However, a company's rating is based much on its drivers' performance. I.e, on-time pick-up's, on time deliveries, excellent communication with dispatchers or the brokers, being polite and professional with every person you speak with, keeping good log books and concise paperwork, performing the pre-trips every time prior to getting behind the wheel, taking your mandatory 10 hour breaks, following the rules of the road, safety, pre-trip routing, and keeping the trailer clean for new loads. Good luck with your training! I hope to do business with you some day!
- I would check WERNER first then J.B. Hunt and swift last, I drive truck and hear Swift drivers complaining about setting allot, they drive nice trucks but do some checking first. J.B. and swift both do allot of rail and say they just get short runs because so much of it goes to the rail yard
