I ordered something and preordered something on Amazon...?

The pre-ordered item will come out late January, and I put both items in the same order with "super free saver shipping." Do you think they'll split the shipments or is a 2 month time gap not long enough to constitute such thing?

1. When you order something from Amazon, they usually split up the shipments - you can expect whichever items are available to arrive at your doorstep in a few business days.
2. As long as you paid, the items will be shipped as soon as they are ready. They don't want to leave a "sold" item on the shelf for 2 months..
