ok one more question regarding an amp i bought online?
When a seller has free ups ground shipping for the buyer, does the buyer put the weight he/she thinks the item weighs? For example, if an item weight say 25lbs, can the seller put that it weighs 12 lbs? Or does ups weigh the item as well if its free ground shipping? Im asking this because i recently bought an amp online which weighs about 30 lbs. but on the ups label the weight says 12 lbs. i was just wondering if the seller just puts a weight of his/her leisure. let me know please. by the way its the us amps md3d. i will weigh it myself when i get the item

- I would say on ebay the seller stretched the truth a bit on the weight of the amp, amps by no way at all weigh 25lbs, id say that 12 lbs would be just about right but shipping was free so i dont understand why it matters at all
- You'd be surprised. My JBL amp weighs at least 20 lb. If the amp is supposed to weigh 30 and it only weighs 12, you got ripped off. UPS weighs all packages, otherwise, people would be sending 200 lb shipments for the price of only 5 lb.
- Here are The specs.. http://usamps.com/md_amps.html It states that the actual weight is 17lbs. Yes UPS does weigh the package. They may charge the shipper more or they may have a flat rate shipping package, that will allow up to 20lbs. Then the weight, as long as it comes in under, doesn't matter. Hope this helps.
