I'm shipping with USPS EMS to Nigeria, can I use a self-cut poster board box?

When I bought this Wii the guy sent it to me in a self-cut poster board box. I'm reselling it to a dude in Nigeria and I'm shipping with USPS EMS and I want to know if I can use the same shipping method. The Wii is still packaged in its original box. Will they let me send it like that or do I need to buy a certain kind of cardboard box that meets some standard? I'm in Florida.

1. you can use the box as long as it is safe ( hard enough ) to make the shipment.
