Has anyone used Driver's Choice Services?

They are a company that recruits potential people who want to become truck drivers. They work strictly with Swift Transportation. They "claim" to pay for all your training expenses up front and you pay them back through payroll deduction when start driving for Swift. I was wondering if anyone has gone through "Driver's Choice Services" to work for Swift Transportation? If they have has anything gone wrong? Anything that I should be aware of? I want answers from ACTUAL graduates from their Training program. Other people please dont answer unless u have gone through them or know someone who has!

  1. To fit your rules, I have no answer..
  2. I have not personally gone through it I have a friend and know multiple people who have. I have been driving truck for 5 years now. First off Swift is one of the worst companies on the road right now either them or CR England. My advice is run away from Swift. They have a 140% driver turnover rate. Most "new" guys hack it for about 3 months there and jump ship and realize trucking isn't for them and go back to what they know how to do. Yes you will get your license through them yes you will work for them for a whopping .25/mi and be treated like dirt. Then once you quit before your pay them off guess what you owe them and collections is after you. Plus be treated like dirt by other drivers on the road, I have personally seen Swift drivers cut off, airlines disconnected, urine and feces thrown on their trucks, kingpins pulled, tandems pulled, license plates stolen, lights disconnected. Lets just say I have never heard a Swift driver have one good thing to say about the company. As of now they have been selling off most their trucks and trailers and rumors floating around the industry that they are going bankrupt. There are better options for getting your license than Swift. Try getting the state to pay for your training and attend a local truck driving school. Call the school and see what they say. Check out local community colleges and see if they offer a program. If none of those pan out I would highly recommend Schneider National they will get you your license give you good training and they are actually a decent company to start out with. Stevens Transport is another decent company. Watkins Shepard Trucking is another one I highly recommend. The main point is stay away from Swift at all costs you will be glad you did.
