Location Transport

What's a good transportation mode for my guests at a sweet sixteen?

I'm having a sweet sixteen in Manhattan and I'm inviting four of my closest friends to dinner there but we all live in other boroughs. Since my car can only hold five people, I want some alternate transportation mode that is NOT a limo (my friend did hired a limo, fancy dinner, etc. so I'm kind of wary about doing the exact same thing). Any ideas?

1. You could hire a van to pick up all of your guests.
2. A horse & carriage?
3. An Old-Fashoined Trolley Car Bus. One of my friends did it to transport her bridemaids and groomsmen to the church for her wedding.
4. you could have a party bus or....you could have a mule. how about taxis? thats sort of manhattan themed.
