Shipping rates based on weight?

I have no idea what I'm doing, please help! I have a website selling candy cakes and would like to offer shipping calculated by weight using real time with UPS or USPS. I would like the cheapest method possible, I'm currently using the zip code which is kinda expensive. My website is www.sweettreatsandgifts.biz, I can be emailed if anyone has the time to help. 1. I know from ordering on-line that the check-out window features an automatic shipping cost that's based on USPS standards. I'd suggest you check out PayPal or a similar program to help, that must be a standard feature for on-line companies by now. I looked at your website, looks tasty. I did a sample buy and when I got to check out the shipping cost feature is not built in. It should have it so when a person pays there it's a done deal. In your PayPal account go back and check to make sure you didn't miss a direction to add that feature.
