Should fat people who take up 2 seats on public transport pay double the fare?

Australia's public transport system is so overcrowded it seems unfair to allow them to get away with it.

  1. Should the people who are predigest toward other people be required to pay double as well because they make everyone else feel uncomfortable? just a thought.and no I don't think they should.
  2. hahaha, well it seems fair so they should! They're also slowing down our public transport with their weight. Maybe they should walk to work so they actually lose the weight.
  3. i understand where you are coming from as i know quite well how busy public transport can be in australia, but i dont think they should because when you travel by public transport you're not paying for a seat like on planes etc. so why should you pay more for taking up two seats if you aren't paying for 'a seat' in the first place. does that mean that if you decide to stand rather than sit you should pay less? or you should pay more because you can sit, even when the bus has plenty of seats? or that the people who decide to put their bag next to them pay double fare?
  4. no because it doesn't really matter when im on a bus i pay for my ticket and put my school bag on the other seat whats next paying for bags as well so what if you take up two seats.i have seen people take up one seat and there feet on the Other isn't that two seats.

  7. Make the seats bigger .Buses here in Bristol,uk have plastic seats stamped `made in Australia` ,they are very narrow .Maybe ok for your tall ,bronzed ,fit Aussie but I find them a tight fit .i`m average height/weight.Why do we get plastic all the way from Auss ?
