How to view stars from your location on earth in Celestia?

Hi, just downloaded the program Celestia, and want to use it to view stars on a nightly basis, since there is too much light pollution in my city for me to view them all. My question is, how can I go to the surface of earth and view stars via my location? Thanks!!

1. I think you want to use Stellarium instead. Celestia and Stellarium are different programs, serving different needs. Celestia is more of a '3D space tour' while Stellarium is more of the traditional 'planetarium' style. Stellarium is also free, open source, and runs on windows/mac/linux. http://www.stellarium.org/
