How would I use shipping labels for a cushioned envelope ?

I will be soon shipping out a video game that I've sold on ebay. However, I'm unsure whether or not to use shipping labels. If it is just a padded envelope, can I use shipping labels? Does the label come in two parts, one for the shipping address and one for the return?

1. You know what? I've never used shipping labels for Ebay. Maybe you're supposed to. I just didn't think it was fair that I had to pay an extra $1 for something that I only made $2 off of anyway.
