How to get to Atlantic city from edison, NJ via public transportation?

Need to know the public transportation from edison nj to atlantic city in a day trip. What is the quickest and cheapest price? Is there any local bus? Where is the bus stop, schedule and price? How long it will take?

  1. Get a train schedule on line. There is a train station right in Edison and I am sure one goes directly to AC because it is a very popular destination. Good Luck in AC.
  2. You can get a free bus ride to Atlantic City. You pay $21.00 and you get the money back when you return to the bus. There is a Deli right next to the IHOP in Somerset (900 Easton Avenue). If you live in Edison , Somerset is about 10-15 minutes away. I am sure there is more places that offers the same thing including the New Brunswick Bus Station downtown.
  3. Cherry is correct, I also know the Saddle River Bus Company has regular service to and from Atlantic City from Edison, NJ. I take that same bus from Union, Nj and it stops at that Oak Hill or Oak Valley Shopping Center in Edison. I don't have the schedule on me right now, but if you need more info on that, please feel free to e-mail me. I believe the cost is close to $30 round trip (minus the $17 - $20 you get back at the casino). It's a really good deal. And no, you cannot take a train directly to AC from Edison, NJ. The only train that goes to AC right now leaves from Philly/Camden area. Also, cheap ass NJ Transit doesn't give you any discounts!
