Location Transport

is there any way that a person can use a cell phone number to track a person's location?

some creep said there was a way through the DMV. although i'm skeptical, i'm still paranoid.

  1. yeah but it requires either police work or very expensive technology. it wont necessarily find where you are, but where the phone itself is.
  2. I am not sure what you mean by track your location. There are two meanings I can think of. If you mean can they find your name and address - the answer is that depends. If you have a regular service with a monthly bill, you can be found. There are several sites that charge a small fee that will give you the name and possible address of a cell phone user. There are more details in my resources. If you mean track and in finding your physical location, the answer may be yes. Once the "E-911" system was installed in most major metropolitan areas - the less populated areas soon followed. GPS is not even needed as you can be found through triangulation from cell phone towers. Normally, only law enforcement or government investigation services can do this - but there is a way to do it on any GMRS phone - you just need to set the phone up for it first.
