Here is what I wanted to say: Human Resource of ______________, I'm contacting your company to inquire if you are accepting employment applications for __________________. I have 2 1/2 years experience as a Non Medical Transporter with current cpr and first aide cards. Presently the rate of pay is _________________. 1. Waste of time. If companies do not have a vacancy to fill unsolicited letters go in the round file. Better to spend your time looking for a job through employment agencies or online
  2. It is a long shot but it has payed off for me. I myself used the yellow pages and just cold called them. Twice a week for a couple of weeks they get the idea you really want a job. That and you are a go getter that doesn't just sit and wait. It helps if you have previously dropped off a resume. Add that to your opening letter, which by the way I see no major flaws in what you wrote, and you should do fine. I myself don't mention previous pay, just act disappointed when they mention how much the position does pay. Just a thought. Good luck.
