How do I go about shipping my car cross country?

I just moved to California from Georgia and I want to ship my car over here. I have a 1999 Ford Explorer and I've gone to a couple websites that give me quotes and such but I wanna make sure that its gonna be legit. Anybody have any recommendations of companies to use or things to keep in mind? I don't have the time to fly over there and drive back. I usually only have like 2 days max off for each week. 1. Why don't you just drive it? You can make the trip in 3 days.
2. well any transport.company should be registred at. DOT. Ask for dot no, or icc no, or mc no of the company. And u can check on line the rating of the company, given by brokers, how long have been in bussines so on. Ur car is not that new to stress out that much. I d go with the cheapest but ask for the insurance previously. Try driveaway.com... Or why not drive it?
