Public transportation from Burbank airport to Santa Monica?
I am just wondering if anyone knows of the simplest route on public transport from the Burbank airport to Santa monica area? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I don't know about California transport system at all and the metro website is confusing to me. Do you guys have any suggestions?

- The fastest route from Burbank "Bob Hope" Airport to Santa Monica is to board Metro "local" Bus # 94 at the airport and ride to Hill Street/ Temple Street in Los Angeles. You will be let off on the south east corner. Then cross the street to the north east corner and board the Santa Monica Bus # 10 to Santa Monica. Total fare is $2.55, and the trip takes 2 hours 10 minutes.
- If you are traveling with luggage or not familiar with LA, taking a bus will be out of the question. The most convenient way to make this trip is to take the SuperShuttle from Burbank airport and they will drop you off at your doorstep. - Since TravelMaster (aka Mobile Mark) is out of town and has forsaken us, I will answer in his stead. First, I can only give Peedlepup partial credit for his answer. The FASTEST way to get from Burbank to downtown LA via public transit is to take the NoHo/Empire Line of the BURBANK Bus (the OTHER blue bus) to the North Hollywood Metro Subway station. From there, take the Red Line subway to downtown, where you can catch the Santa Monica bus #10. Of course, you can take super shuttle, but it costs a lot more.
- What about the Flyaway from UCLA parking lot? Take the 20, 720 or 920 and get off at Westwood and Wilshire.
