How come I can't use the tracking number from Amazon.com?

I bought a cell phone from Amazon.com which is worth 300 dollars and I used the Free super saver shipping. I was told that the item was shipped out on March 3rd, and they gave me a tracking number. I put that on the usps website and it says no record of this item. On the Amazon.com track your package page, all it says is It has left Seller facility in Campbellsville, KY and is in transit. It doesn't update and tells me where the package is specifically at (a city, etc) So, did they really ship the item out? Or are they just playing around?

  1. The same thing happened to me a couple times. I did get the item within a week of ordering. I always use the super saving shipping. If you're really worried you can email or call amazon. They have really good customer service and get back to you within 48 hours.
