Location Transport

Is there public transportation in Orlando Fl if so how much is it and what popular cities does it go to?

I am moving from Md to Fl next week and I know nothing about Fl at all.I will have to start off knowing about public transportation so I can get around and how much it is.

We live in Metro DC, and my parents retired in Florida and FYI when you get to FLA cities like Orlando and Miami you will be surprised how much traffic the tourist areas have brought over the years that they even have HOV lanes and worst yet comes when the interstate I-4 traffic stops bec you would be amazed at all the traffic. 3. Buy a car ! The public transportation system is awful. Having lived in a city with subways and buses, this city is terrible with regards to transportation. The buses run regularly but it takes several of them to get anywhere therefore, it takes hours to get anywhere. This city is so spread out that you really need a car. I tried doing without a car when i first moved here but had to buy one less than a month later. Good luck with the move and hope you love hot weather.
