Department of Transport? Where is it in London?

I have been told its near Victoria Tube Station but when I look at the map its about a bus stop away from that station. So I'm confused. I might be starting temp work there soon so I need to know. Can anyone help? If you know where it is, is it a small department or a big one with many offices? I just want to know if its a private department or a public one. I would ask but the temp agency is closed at the moment.
