What were the most important political/sensational happenings from 2000-2008 in the UK.?

I have to give a presentation about this topic in the 13th grade. I`ve collect several information, but maybe there were some important events which I didn't realized here in a foreign country.Mainly I'm looking for important political occasions. Politics 2001 7 June - General Election: Labour Party attains a second successive General Election victory. 2001 September 11 terrorist attacks: 67 UK nationals perish in the attacks, which was the second largest loss of life of any nation only behind the United States itself. 2003 20 March - 2003 Iraq war: Land troops from United Kingdom join troops from the United States, Australia and Poland in the invasion of Iraq. 2004 19 April - Tony Blair announces a change in government policy: there is to be a referendum on the proposed EU Constitution. 2004 26 December - A significant number of Britons are among the thousands of people killed by a tsunami in the Indian Ocean. The victims are killed in countries including Indonesia and Thailand. [2] 2005 21 July - 21 July 2005 London bombings: four attempted bomb attacks disrupt part of London's public transport. Small explosions occur around midday at Shepherd's Bush, Warren Street and Oval stations on London Underground, and on a bus in Bethnal Green. 2006 23 November - Alexander Litvinenko dies in London having been poisoned by Polonium-210.
