News years eve questions answered?

To try and prevent repetitive questions, here's a list of things you may want to know if travelling to London tonight. Public transport: Tube running normal, and free between 11.45 - 04.30 British rail: Mainly to schedule, but check time tables. Buses: Night buses and the 24 hour services running normal, BUT..there will be a reduced service leaving central london between the hours of 1900 - 03.00, this is due to all the road closures. Mini cabs: Always charge double fare, and whatever else they can get away with....be careful. London taxis (black cabs) from 22.00 hrs, there is an additional £4.00 added to the normal fare, (they are not double, nor have they ever been). But remember, the taxi trade will not be allowed into central london until the police remove the blockades, if you are able, walk out beyond the road closures to obtain one. Bogus mini cabs operate at this time of year, so be vigilant and stay safe. Fireworks: the main show will be next to the London Eye, Belvedere road SE1, opposite waterloo station, vantage points will be limited if you arrive LATE (This place get's rammo) so beware of pick pockets. Alternative vantage points: Temple place, next to the howard hotel, on the north side of the river, it is elevated above ground level, and you can even stand on the giant wall which surrounds the gardens. Waterloo bridge, Westminster bridge (the busiest), and the pedestrian millenium bridge. Have a great time, wrap up warm, and a happy new year to you all. 4. Great idea by the way - was seeing the same ones all the time too! A couple more things that people might need to know: If you want to meet friends later, arrange a place and time now as mobile networks often fail on New Year's Eve. Put 60835 into your mobile phone. It's the cabwise number. Text the word "home" to this number to receive licencsed mini cab numbers and the number of one black cab. Licenced cabs can only be hired when booked over the phone or by a manned stand as in outside a club, never ever by hailing on the street.
5. how can i get back from waterloo or on the district line from the waterloo area to kingston/richmond/surbiton, are the overground rail services operating as normal?
