Where can I hire a horsebox in scotland?

I want to start taking my horse out and about but don't have any transportation. My car isn't big enough to tow but I had heard that you could hire out a kind of small lorry which is about the size of a transit van and it would take a couple of horses. Does anyone know of somewhere in scotland (ideally near glasgow) that does this? I've checked yellow pages etc but haven't been able to find anything.

2. the boxes you mentioned can be very expensive... you should try finding a friend in your area who will ride out with you, this way you get transport, company when you ride and company for your horse. i've managed fine with no transport for the last year, going to and from the local riding school, hunter trials, hunting... (although i finally got a car that can tow a bout a month ago)i've found that people don't mind bringing you to an event if it means they get a nice day out and also, so many people go to events with only one horse so at least 50% of the time some one you know will be going some where with a space in their box and will be happy to bring you, (and you'll be kinder to the planet with one less horse box on the road)
