how can i get from sydney airport to liverpool by public transport.?
i'm traveling to sydney, and i've told my friend (who i'm meeting up with) that i'll meet her in liverpool. Problem is i don't really want to pay for a cab, and i figured that a train or bus with on one bag should be okay, but how do i? i've never been to sydney before

- Ask for a ticket to Liverpool via Glenfield railway stn. you will be travelling sth west on the Macarthur line to Glendfield depart the train, should take you about 30 to 40 mins askt for the platform to Liverpool station wich is only one or two stops away say 10 minutes. you cant miss it . Check out this website for Syd trains info http://www.cityrail.info/timetable/index.jsp (look for Townhall to Macarthur via Airport so Sydenham & Macarthyr to Liverpool. Good luck
- Train:- airport to central station " " Central station to liverpool
- From the Airport, travel west along the Airport & East Hills Line (Green on the map), get off at Glenfield and switch to either the South Line (light blue) or the Cumberland Line (Magenta). It's only two stops away from Glenfield. Just look at the display boards and see which line departs for Liverpool earlier from Glenfield. You do NOT need to go back up to Central to travel down to Liverpool. It's just a waste of time. Here's a link to the network map: http://www.cityrail.info/networkmaps/index.jsp
- take train down to macathur then switch to mittagong then back to liverpool
- People have already answered so yes :) They're right about the trains... Enjoy your stay in Sydney
- Call me, I'll pick you up and take you there for free. I drive a cab that doesn't smell of vomit.
