How can I Track A Cell Phone Location?

Is it possible to track the location of a cell phone? I know police can do this, do any Private Investigators or other services provide this?

3. OK, here goes You can't, as has been suggested by another answerer, phone the phone company and get them to tell you, that would be breaking the law on their part. And you can't register someone elses phone on a tracking site without their agreement. Even when registered they then have to authorise tracking, usually by responding to a TXT message, when you want to activate it. they can also terminate tracking at any time.
