How do I remove this from my back window (of my car)?
Last year, my car was transported on the back of an auto transporter truck. The trucking company used something looking like white chalk to write a reference number on the back window of the car. It might be oil based like a grease pencil. I have tried to scrub it off, but most of it is still there. What kind of writing instrument was used and what can I do to remove it? It is NOT etched into the glass. Thanks.

- Most people use a razor blade.
- It is most likely a paint pen. I used yellow ones when I worked security at an auto auction. Once it dried you had to use a razor blade to scrape off the markings. Try using a scraper & then go over the area with Windex.
- take a flat edge af a razor blade and scrape what you can . Anything left should come off with windex. If it wont and you can use without getting on paint or chrome or plastic spray oven cleaner on it wait a minute and it will come off followed by a good glass wax . Good Luck
- windex and a razor blade, soak it down good and keep soaking as your scraping it off, if it has lines for a rear defroster be careful not to cut them in two
- razor blade or newspaper and some degreaser should do it
- goof off ... home depot
