Do I need to bring a carseat for my 3 year old when we go to Orlando if we are taking Disney transportation?
We are flying to Orlando in the end of April and headed to Disney world. We are staying in the village and plan on taking the shuttle bus from the airport to our hotel and the theme parks. With that in mind, do i need to bring a car seat for my 3 year old? Will they even let us use the car seat down there?

- no, you do not need your carseat unless you are planning to rent a car at some point. the shuttle buses do not have seat belts, just like other public transportation buses.
- No, the disney busses don't have seatbelts, but you might need one for the shuttle bus between the airport and disney. i think it is your choice if you want her to have the carseat or not. I would leave it home.
- You will have a very nice large coach bus from the airport to your disney resort. I don't remember anyone bring a car seat for their kids. Unless you need one for the plane, or are renting a car (which you don't need if you are at a disney resort) don't bring it.
- Im goin to Disney next month with a 3 and a 4 year old...we are staying in one of the park hotels and they sent us a travel package package (with the luggage straps and room confirmation etc,) and it says that carseats are not allowed on the bus that picks you up a the airport and takes you to the resort. If you plan to rent a car to go out of the parks then you might want to take your booster seat with you although all rent a car places offer you car seats. To sum it all up...no you will not need your car seat.. Have a blast...
- I worked for Disney and car seats are not needed for any of the bus services they run. Your son (and you) will have tons of fun at Disney, no need for that car seat, so leave it home. (unless you plan to rent a car)
- No, you would only need one if renting a car or something like that. I don't even use one on the airplane, my daughter is more comfortable in a Big Girl Seat inbetween us.
- No, you do not need a car seat. The buses are like greyhound and school buses blended together. They are bench seats and do not have seatbelts, but they are big like a greyhound bus. If you really want to carry a carseat around you can, but you will have to lug it ALL DAY. There are lockers at the parks, but a car seat will not fit. Just hold your child when you are on the bus, and either rent or bring a cheap folding stroller (recommended renting is about $10 a day) for waiting for the bus, getting from the bus to the park, and then cruising the parks. A stroller will also come in handy at the airport. At 3, he should be able to sit on a seat on the bus by himself... and walk or be carried to the gate entrance if you decide to rent a stroller. Keep in mind, the hotels and downtown disney do NOT rent strollers, which is why I recommend bringing a cheap one from home.
