I need a name for my business?

I am starting a new business as a truck driver. I have a brand new Yellow truck and am contracting for a company. But I want a catchy name. I was thinking of combining my name and my girls names Freeland and Cranston, or Megan and Tim...I came up with CranLand Transportation, Freeston Transportation, M & T Transport Services, Tegan Transport, Snowturtle Transportation(my nickname) and then I hit a wall....am I close....any suggestions, feel free to think outside of the box!!!

  2. If I had a truck and needed a name, I'd choose "Truck You". It might be offensive to some people, but it's catchy and memorable. Good luck.
  3. I don't know if you have ever heard of starting your business name with the letter A, so that it will be one of the first in the yellow pages, but it does make sense. Maybe you could use ABC Transport it's very simple to remember and you could tie your advertising in with it. ( Transporting made easier then learning your ABC's) Maybe that sounds kind of corny, but I think you get the drift of what I'm saying!! Goodluck!
  4. I TOTALLY disagree with using ABC - you may be at the front of the phone book, but who uses the phone book anymore? Everyone uses google now - so you want a name that stands out and that means something, not only to you but to other people ... do a bit of word association ... come up with a list of associated words (truck, transport) and run it through thesaurus.com - you'll get words like connection, commerce, commodities, freight, haul, lift, transfer, transit ... how about Tortoise Transit ... you could do a whole hare vs the tortoise thing ... Either way, do some brainstorming ... I love thesaurus.com - useful for naming anything!
