What is the difference between retail location and corporate office?

I'm looking to apply for a job at a store, but on the website, there are two different applications. Employment Application: Retail Location Employment Application: Corporate Office Which one do I pick?

1. Most chain stores that have locations in many states have a main office that does the accounting, buys the stuff that all the stores sell, produces the payroll checks, and other things. The corporate office may not be located in your town. If you want to work for the main office, choose Corporate Office. If you want to work at one of the stores, choose Retail Location.
2. As said, you will pick the retail location.
