How good are freeline skates as a mode of transportation?

"The Freeline Skates™ are extremely portable making them the smallest and lightest form of transportation." How well do they work on sidewalks, etc? Do they require a lot of space to get going? I'm just thinking of short distances, within 30 min - 1 hr walk.

1. freelines are cool to ride... downhill. but if a workouts what u want, then do it ! you might get a new hobby will your at it. good luck
