What will happen if i transport minors with a provisional license?

I'm 16 and i just got my license. I don't drive yet but i'd like to know what exactly would happen if i transport people under 20 years of age before waiting a full year. I.E: I'm transporting my teen friends and get pulled over for not yielding or something like that and the officer sees i'm not supposed to drive minors, will i just get fined or will my license be suspended?

  1. If you get stopped you will lose your license and may have to pay a big fine.
  2. ok, im most states its a secondary offense, which means they have to pull you over for something else before they can write you a ticket, but if you get pulled over for something then yeah you might get a ticket.. You wont get your license suspended don't worry, you'll at worst get a ticket and some of the kids will have to walk. But don't worry cops don't usually give a shit about it, i do it all the time and so does everyone else.
  3. I think it really depends on how the officer feels about the situation. As far as I know, a police officer is capable of taking your license away until you are 21 for such an offense. Even so, I've heard of them just giving you a warning and telling you not to do it again. I probably just wouldn't risk it if I were you. I know a girl who got caught breaking this rule and got her license taken away until she was 18. Your friends might make fun of you for not doing it, but you only have to wait a few months before it's legal. If you just hold out, then you won't risk having your license revoked. Also, the law is out there for a reason: new drivers are generally very easily distracted. If you get in a wreck because someone who wasn't supposed to be in your car in the first place distracted you, you will be in BIG trouble. You might even go to jail if someone was injured due to this wreck.
