If I pre-ordered something on Amazon.ca would I be guaranteed the price I ordered at even if it increases?

I'm trying to pre-order something from Amazon.ca. I've been watching the item for a while and it seems to decrease and increase from time to time. So I was just wondering if I pre-ordered it when the item was $30 and it increases to $40 the next day would (and if it stayed $40 till release date) would I pay the price of $40 or $30? Also one other thing, the item has a lowest price guarantee (it says if the price drops after I pre-order it I'll be paying the lowest price I think) which I guess seems to answer the question above, but I'm not 100% sure. Also it has Free super saver shipping that's free if my item (or total) is $39 or higher, but if the pre-ordered item decreases and my total becomes less than $39 do I then have to pay for shipping or will it still be free? Assuming I ordered something that qualifies for super saver shipping. Thanks in advance.

  1. Well if you pre-ordered it and it's $30, you should only have to pay the $30 if the price increases. I mean you did order it when it was $30, not $40. And if the price decreases, then I think you'll get your leftover money back, but I'm not certain. (that's what happened when I ordered my class ring and it went on sale after i had ordered...i got my money back.) And if the final price is below $39, then you're going to mostly likely have to pay for the shipping. Hopefully that helped. If not, I recommend you contact customer service.
