I will be traveling from the airport then around inner Sydney for 4 days doing the 'tourist thing' what's the best ticket to buy?
Public Comments
- well, an adult all day pass for 4 days, or a weekly pass
- Depending on how much you can/want to walk you may not need to do more than buy the ticket from the airport to the stop nearest your lodging and then a return ticket to the airport. We went to Sydney about five years ago and that's all we did. Our hotel was just outside the CBD and we walked to the Opera House, the Rocks and even out to Paddington to see Fox Studios. The longest of those walks was about 2 miles (3 km). We did use the ferry from Circular Quay to get to Taronga Zoo and Manly. In fact if you're staying at a hotel you may be able to get a ride from and to the airport with them if you'd rather not take the public transport.
- Well I think it will be best if you buy and "Red area" weekly pass. This areas covers Sydney CBD and surrounding nearest suburbs (most of these are the tourist attractions mainly). This pass covers travel on trains, buses (run by Sydney Bus only, not others) and fairies, so give you a fair bit of variety and a few places to go. As I doubt you can be able to go far during just a four days stopover. And yes, dont forget Kings Cross :) This web link below gives you the details of areas covered by red (and other passes). Have fun in the land down under :) Mo.
