What is the difference in USPS shipping postal prices?

I need to know the differences in USPS postal prices and codes. Like which is cheaper? Priority or first class?, What does flat rate mean? And what makes a difference on ebay when I offer free shipping? Thanks in advance.... Is first class cheaper than parcel post? Slower also?

1. Hi, I suggest going to usps.com for more information, cheaper includes parcel post, media mail but is so slow your buyers are going to give low DSR ratings. Package & ship the way you would want your package to arrive. Priority mail is very simple & usually arrives in 2-3 days. Whatever method you use be sure to get delivery confirmation to prove your item is delivered.
