how many miles does a swift transportation driver usually drive in a week?

  1. 50 miles an hour X 8 hours a day x 7 days a week = 70 miles an hour x 12 hours a day x 5 days a week = Whats your question about?
  2. its 55 miles an hour for no more than 11 hours a day, better get a dot book and read up on the laws pertaining to trucking
  3. As many as they can get you to drive. They will tell you they will send you home once a week but they usually have a hot load they need hauled in the opposite direction. They require 55 miles an hour no matter the truck speed limit so count on 10 hours a day minimum untill you run out of hours under the 60/70 hour rule.
  4. I never drove for Swift. But the big companies I did drive for, the miles would depend on several things, like where you unloaded your last load, if your dispatcher was on the ball or not, if you had a good record of getting to your destination on time, etc. They usually favor drivers who have been there longer, and have a good track record of on time deliveries. So, if you are new to a company, and especially if you are new to driving (a big truck), they will probably start you off slow and easy to see how you can handle it. Talk to some of the drivers who have been there for a while, and ask them about it. =============================================
