Location Transport

What is the best most economical car to transport a dog in? (UK)?

I am going to need an economical and smallish car but a car that can transport a dog easily in. Can you recommend one please?

1. honda fit? the entire back seat tucks down - sits pretty low to the ground and the entire trunk opens (gotta love a hatchback!) easy for a dog to enter & exit :)
